About Us

Our President & Founder is Paige Mitchell.

Rescue Without Boundaries is run by a board of dedicated directors under our President. We have a great group of wonderful supporters and volunteers who work tirelessly for the animals in our care.

Rescue Without Boundaries is an small canine breed rescue group. We are 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs, most of which are in high kill shelters. Our policy is to rescue for life and if any of our rescued dogs cannot stay with their adoptive family, they must be returned to Rescue Without Boundaries, and not to a shelter. Most of RWOB’s dogs have come from overcrowded shelters in DFW, Texas; however, we also take dogs from other local shelters, veterinarians, and other situations that require rescue. All of our dogs have had their vaccination requirements, are wormed, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm treatment We do not have a physical shelter as we are strictly a dog rescue organization.

All fosters homes and adopters are subject to a strict set of requirements, application, interview and home check. Home checks are completed to ensure the safety of our foster dogs and cats and to be sure they are going to the right home & environment for a positive experience for all involved. All of our adoptables are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, fully vaccinated, & on heartworm prevention

Every day we witness firsthand the tragic consequences of pet overpopulation.

Locally:

In the calendar year of 2014 , the City of Dallas shelter alone took in 28,741 dogs and cats and:

• euthanized 13,553 dogs and cats
• adopted out 8,291 dogs and cats
• redeemed back to owners 1,788 dogs and cats
• rescue organizations saved 4,742 dogs and cats

Estimates are that 200,000 are euthanized each year across the DFW Metroplex.
